In a tightly contested matchup, the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Seattle Seahawks 20-14 in Week 17 of the 2028 season. The stakes were high as both teams aimed for playoff positioning, making this victory crucial for the Patriots as they eye a postseason run. Drake Maye led the offensive charge for New England, throwing for two touchdown passes to propel his team over the Seahawks. Dante Moore had a solid performance for Seattle, racking up 158 passing yards, while Kenneth Walker III kept the ground game alive with 95 rushing yards. Jaxon Smith-Njigba was a standout receiver for the Seahawks, contributing 87 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Patriots made key stops, with Aiden Fisher leading the way with eight total tackles. The turning point of the game came when New England's defense stifled a late-game drive from Seattle, allowing them to hold on to their slim lead. Although the Seahawks' Peter Woods registered a sack and Jaylin Smith snagged an interception, the Patriots' resilience on defense ultimately sealed their victory.
