In a pivotal Week 17 matchup, the Miami Dolphins secured a 24-14 victory over the Denver Broncos, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season winds down. Both teams entered the game with aspirations for postseason glory, but it was the Dolphins who emerged victorious in this crucial contest. Miami's Adam Childress led the charge offensively, passing for 232 yards, while Bo Jackson provided a dynamic ground game with 121 rushing yards. On the other side, Bo Nix kept the Broncos in contention with two touchdown passes, and Courtland Sutton showcased his receiving prowess with 124 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Dolphins' offensive firepower. The Miami defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, with Chop Robinson leading the way with 2.5 sacks, consistently pressuring Nix and disrupting the Broncos' rhythm. The game's turning point came late in the second quarter when a critical sack by Robinson led to a turnover, allowing Miami to extend their lead just before halftime. Denver struggled to recover from that momentum shift, ultimately falling short in their quest for a comeback.
