In a decisive Week 7 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Carolina Panthers 38-13, solidifying their position in the NFC South as they push for playoff contention. The victory not only boosts the Buccaneers' record but also serves as a critical momentum shift as the season progresses. Baker Mayfield was the star of the game, throwing for an impressive 356 yards and three touchdowns. His precise passing and ability to exploit the Panthers' secondary were instrumental in establishing an early lead. Additionally, Sean Tucker contributed with a solid ground game, rushing for 76 yards, helping to keep the offense balanced and the Panthers' defense guessing. Defensively, the Buccaneers were relentless, with Yaya Diaby leading the charge with two sacks, consistently pressuring the Carolina quarterback and disrupting their rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Josiah Trotter's interception halted a promising Panthers drive, allowing the Buccaneers to extend their lead and control the game from there. The combination of a potent offense and a stifling defense proved too much for the Panthers to handle.
