The Jacksonville Jaguars secured a solid victory against the Washington Commanders, finishing the game with a final score of 26-14. As Week 17 of the 2026 season unfolds, this win is crucial for the Jaguars as they aim for a strong playoff positioning while the Commanders look to regroup after a disappointing performance. Trevor Lawrence led the Jaguars' offense with 229 passing yards and one touchdown, showcasing his ability to command the field effectively. On the receiving end, Brian Thomas Jr. made significant contributions with 79 receiving yards, helping to keep the chains moving. Meanwhile, Jaylin Lane of the Commanders had a standout performance on the ground, rushing for 103 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Jacksonville's offensive momentum. Defensively, the Jaguars displayed a formidable presence, highlighted by Travon Walker's two sacks and Travis Hunter's two interceptions, which were key in shifting the game's momentum. The turning point came in the second quarter when Hunter's first interception led to a quick touchdown drive, allowing Jacksonville to take control. The Commanders struggled to recover from this pivotal moment, as the Jaguars' defense stifled their attempts to mount a comeback.
