In a dominant performance, the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Washington Commanders 42-7 in Week 15 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff positioning. With both teams vying for crucial late-season momentum, the Falcons showcased their offensive prowess and secured a decisive victory. Leading the charge for Atlanta was Bijan Robinson, who racked up an impressive 268 rushing yards, making his presence felt on the ground. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. also delivered through the air, throwing for two touchdowns to help lift the Falcons to a commanding lead. On the other side, Jayden Daniels managed 206 passing yards for the Commanders but struggled to find the end zone. The Falcons' defense played a vital role in the outcome, highlighted by Divine Deablo's six total tackles, which helped stifle Washington's offensive efforts. A key moment came in the second quarter when the Falcons' defense forced a turnover, allowing Penix Jr. to capitalize and extend Atlanta's lead. The combination of a relentless offensive attack and a suffocating defense proved too much for the Commanders to overcome.
