In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions topped the New England Patriots 38-17 in Week 10 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. With both teams vying for crucial momentum heading into the final stretch of the season, the Lions delivered a statement win at home. Jahmyr Gibbs stole the show with a staggering 344 rushing yards, showcasing his explosive playmaking ability and keeping the Patriots' defense off balance all game long. Jared Goff contributed effectively with a touchdown pass, while Drake Maye led the Patriots with 227 passing yards but struggled to keep pace with Detroit's relentless offense. Denzel Boston added 78 receiving yards in a valiant effort, but it wasn't enough to counter the Lions' firepower. Defensively, the Lions made their mark with Zah Frazier's two interceptions and Aidan Hutchinson's sack, which helped to stifle the Patriots' scoring opportunities. Robert Spears-Jennings anchored the defense with four tackles, but it was Frazier’s timely picks that turned the tide. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when Frazier snagged his second interception, setting up Gibbs for a long touchdown run that put the Lions firmly in control.
