The Detroit Lions delivered an impressive performance, defeating the Green Bay Packers 45-16 in a decisive Week 7 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, the Lions' victory solidifies their standing in the NFC North, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit, throwing for 344 yards and four touchdowns, orchestrating a potent aerial attack that kept the Packers' defense on its heels. Amon-Ra St. Brown emerged as Goff's top target, racking up an astonishing 216 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the Lions' offensive explosion. While Jahmyr Gibbs added a steady ground game with 53 rushing yards, it was the passing game that truly stole the show. Defensively, the Lions were able to contain the Packers’ offense effectively, forcing them into difficult situations throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Goff connected with St. Brown for a 75-yard touchdown, shifting momentum firmly in favor of Detroit. Although Edgerrin Cooper of Green Bay recorded 1.5 sacks and led the team with eight total tackles, it was not enough to counter the Lions' relentless offensive assault.
