In a commanding performance, the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Washington Commanders 45-15 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. With this win, the Colts solidified their standing as a playoff contender, while the Commanders struggled to find their rhythm on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the Colts showcased a balanced attack, led by DeMario Douglas, who rushed for 70 yards. Quarterback play was pivotal, as Jayden Daniels for the Commanders threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Colts' high-scoring offense. Meanwhile, Terry McLaurin had a standout game for Washington, racking up 113 receiving yards, but the lack of support from the run game hindered their overall effectiveness. Defensively, the Colts made their presence felt with a dominant display, highlighted by CJ Allen’s impressive three interceptions, which turned the tide in favor of Indianapolis. DeForest Buckner added pressure with a sack, disrupting Daniels’ rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Colts capitalized on turnovers, allowing them to build a lead that proved insurmountable for Washington.
