In a nail-biting finish, the Indianapolis Colts narrowly defeated the Houston Texans 22-21 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, the stakes were high as they battled for supremacy in the division. Daniel Jones led the Colts with a strong performance, throwing for two touchdowns while efficiently managing the game. On the other side, C.J. Stroud showcased his skills with 287 passing yards, connecting with Tank Dell, who had a standout day with 165 receiving yards. David Montgomery also made waves on the ground for the Texans, rushing for 96 yards and keeping the Colts' defense on their toes. Defensively, the game shifted in favor of the Colts thanks to A.J. Haulcy's two interceptions, which proved crucial in limiting Houston's scoring opportunities. Danielle Hunter's 2.5 sacks for the Texans highlighted their defensive efforts, but it was the Colts' ability to create turnovers that ultimately sealed the victory. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Haulcy's second interception set up a crucial scoring drive, allowing Indianapolis to hold off a late Texans rally.
