In a dominating display, the Dallas Cowboys routed the Washington Commanders with a final score of 70-26, marking a decisive victory in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams sought to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the Cowboys who delivered a performance that will be remembered. Dak Prescott led the charge for Dallas with an impressive 392 passing yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his elite quarterbacking skills. George Pickens was his favorite target, racking up 187 receiving yards and finding the end zone multiple times. Washington's Jacory Croskey-Merritt put forth a valiant effort with 132 rushing yards, but the offensive firepower of the Cowboys proved too much to overcome. Defensively, the Cowboys were relentless, with DaRon Bland making a significant impact by snagging two interceptions, which played a crucial role in shifting the momentum of the game. Markquese Bell led the team with five total tackles, helping to stifle any attempts at a Commanders comeback. The game's turning point came early in the second quarter when Bland's first interception set up another quick touchdown for Dallas, widening the gap and putting Washington on the back foot.
