In a tightly contested defensive battle, the Seattle Seahawks narrowly defeated the Arizona Cardinals 14-6 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the Seahawks who came away with the crucial victory on the road. Trevor Lawrence led the Seahawks' offense with an impressive 252 passing yards, while Bucky Irving made a significant impact on the ground, rushing for 102 yards. Brenen Thompson was Lawrence's go-to target, racking up 82 receiving yards and contributing to the Seahawks' scoring efforts. Meanwhile, Dak Prescott managed to throw one touchdown for the Cardinals, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Seattle's offensive efficiency. Defensively, the Seahawks made key plays that turned the tide in their favor, with Calijah Kancey dominating up front, recording 1.5 sacks. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Seahawks' defense stifled a potential game-tying drive, highlighted by D.J. Reed's interception for the Cardinals, which ultimately fell short of igniting the comeback. Talanoa Hufanga led the Cardinals' defense with eight total tackles, but it was Seattle's ability to capitalize on offensive drives and contain Arizona's late-game attempts that secured the win.
