In a pivotal Week 16 matchup, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Kansas City Chiefs 36-24, solidifying their playoff position and showcasing their offensive firepower. With postseason implications on the line, both teams were vying for momentum as the regular season nears its conclusion. Joe Burrow led the charge for the 49ers, throwing for an impressive 341 yards and demonstrating his ability to connect with key targets. Stefon Diggs emerged as a standout receiver, racking up 173 yards and playing a vital role in San Francisco's scoring efforts. Meanwhile, Bryce Young of the Chiefs did his best to keep pace, tossing two touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit. Defensively, the Chiefs struggled to contain the 49ers' explosive offense, with Myles Garrett recording 1.5 sacks but unable to disrupt Burrow's rhythm consistently. The game's turning point came late in the second quarter when San Francisco scored on a quick drive, pushing the lead to two scores and forcing Kansas City to play catch-up. With Markquese Bell leading the team with nine tackles, the Chiefs' defense fought hard but ultimately could not seal the gaps against a potent 49ers attack.
