In a decisive Week 12 matchup, the Washington Commanders topped the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 31-17, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the season nears its conclusion. The Commanders demonstrated their offensive prowess, showcasing a high-powered attack that kept the Cardinals on their heels throughout the game. Baker Mayfield was the standout performer for Washington, throwing for 275 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Commanders' offensive charge. Rashee Rice was his favorite target, racking up an impressive 149 receiving yards, while Chuba Hubbard added a solid ground game with 66 rushing yards. This combination proved too much for Arizona, as Mayfield and his receivers found success in crucial moments. On the defensive side, the game was highlighted by Jonathan Allen's impactful performance, as he recorded a sack that stifled a potential scoring drive for the Cardinals. Although CJ Allen of Arizona led the game with six total tackles, it was Washington's ability to pressure quarterback play that shifted momentum. The turning point came in the second quarter when Allen's sack led to a turnover on downs, allowing the Commanders to extend their lead and control the game from there.
