The Indianapolis Colts topped the New York Giants 30-20 in a crucial Week 12 matchup that solidified their playoff positioning. With both teams vying for postseason spots, the Colts delivered a commanding performance at home, showcasing their offensive capabilities and defensive prowess. Jared Goff led the Giants with an impressive 253 passing yards and two touchdowns, but it was Trey Benson who stole the spotlight for Indianapolis. Benson's explosive 147 rushing yards not only set the tone for the Colts' ground game but also kept the Giants' defense on their heels throughout the contest. Rashid Shaheed contributed significantly as well, racking up 122 receiving yards, but it was ultimately not enough to overcome the Colts' offensive barrage. The Colts' defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, with Shemar Stewart wreaking havoc on the Giants' offensive front, recording an eye-popping 4.5 sacks. This relentless pressure was a turning point in the game, forcing Goff into tough situations and limiting New York's scoring opportunities. Despite a strong defensive effort from Marlon Humphrey, who tallied five tackles and an interception, the Giants could not find the rhythm needed to mount a comeback against a resilient Colts squad.
