The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cruised to a decisive 31-10 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 9 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With this win, the Buccaneers improve their record and showcase their dominance on both sides of the ball. Brock Purdy led the charge for Tampa Bay with an impressive performance, throwing for 339 yards and three touchdowns. His connection with Amon-Ra St. Brown was particularly electric, as St. Brown racked up 156 receiving yards, consistently finding ways to exploit the Bears’ secondary. Rico Dowdle contributed on the ground with 51 rushing yards, adding balance to the Buccaneers' offensive attack. Defensively, Tampa Bay played a crucial role in the outcome, highlighted by Ja'Quan McMillian's interception that shifted momentum in the Buccaneers' favor. Despite the Bears’ effort, including Tyrice Knight's nine total tackles and Mack Wilson Sr.'s sack, they struggled to contain Tampa Bay's explosive offense. The game turned decisively in the second quarter when Purdy connected with St. Brown for a long touchdown, giving the Buccaneers a lead they would not relinquish.
