In a crucial Week 5 showdown, the Atlanta Falcons held off the Baltimore Ravens with a final score of 24-16, securing a vital victory that keeps them in playoff contention. The win was especially significant as both teams aimed to solidify their standings in the competitive league. Atlanta's Michael Penix Jr. was the star of the game, throwing for 183 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to find the end zone when it mattered most. Ricky Pearsall complemented Penix's performance with a stellar 99 receiving yards, making key catches that extended drives and put points on the board. Meanwhile, Fernando Mendoza of the Ravens put up an impressive 120 rushing yards, but it was not enough to overcome Atlanta's offensive firepower. On the defensive side, the Falcons made their mark with a strong performance led by Brian Burns, who recorded three sacks to disrupt the Ravens' offensive rhythm. Mike Sainristil added six total tackles, helping to maintain pressure on Baltimore's attack. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Patrick Surtain II intercepted a crucial pass, sealing the game and ensuring the Falcons walked away with the win.
