In a hard-fought battle, the New England Patriots topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 23-16 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to establish momentum early in the year, but it was the Patriots who came out on top, securing their second victory of the season. Drake Maye was the standout performer for New England, throwing for 311 yards and one touchdown, showcasing his ability to manage the game effectively. Kyren Williams contributed significantly on the ground with 98 rushing yards, while Brenton Strange was a reliable target in the passing game, racking up 113 receiving yards. Together, this trio formed a potent offensive unit that kept the Jaguars on their heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Patriots made crucial stops and limited Jacksonville's scoring opportunities, with Isaiah McGuire recording a key sack that disrupted the Jaguars' rhythm. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Patriots' defense held strong, forcing a turnover on downs that sealed the victory. Bobby Okereke led the Jaguars with 10 tackles, but it wasn't enough to overcome New England's balanced attack.
