In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the New England Patriots topped the Seattle Seahawks 31-14. With both teams vying for an early advantage in the standings, the Patriots demonstrated their offensive prowess and defensive tenacity, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting season ahead. Leading the charge for New England was Kyren Williams, who showcased his explosive running ability with 170 rushing yards, consistently breaking tackles and moving the chains. On the other side, Seahawks quarterback Jalen Milroe delivered a strong showing, throwing for 336 yards and two touchdowns, but ultimately fell short as the Patriots' defense tightened when it mattered most. Brian Thomas Jr. also made his mark for Seattle, racking up 144 receiving yards in a losing effort. Defensively, the Patriots made crucial plays that shifted momentum in their favor. DeForest Buckner was a force on the line, recording two sacks that disrupted Milroe's rhythm, while Will Johnson's two interceptions provided critical turnovers that sealed the game. The pivotal moment came in the second half when Johnson's second pick set up a touchdown drive, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Seahawks.
