In a thrilling Wildcard Round matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Dallas Cowboys 27-17, securing their spot in the next round of the playoffs. The stakes were high as both teams sought to advance in the 2026 postseason, but the Lions proved too much for the Cowboys to handle. Bijan Robinson was the star of the show for Detroit, rushing for an impressive 200 yards and finding the end zone, while Taylen Green of the Cowboys threw for 169 yards and one touchdown, keeping Dallas competitive. Ted Hurst III added 66 receiving yards, but the Lions' ability to dominate the ground game made all the difference. Defensively, the Lions were formidable, with Roquan Smith leading the way with five tackles. Javon Hargrave made a significant impact with two sacks, putting pressure on Green throughout the game, while Xavier McKinney's interception was crucial in shifting momentum back to Detroit. The turning point came in the second half when a series of defensive stops allowed the Lions to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory.
