In a high-scoring showdown, the Los Angeles Chargers topped the Denver Broncos 44-30 in Week 9 of the 2028 season. Both teams entered the game looking to solidify their playoff aspirations, but it was the Chargers who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Chargers quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr had an exceptional outing, throwing for four touchdowns and guiding his team to a commanding lead. Meanwhile, Denver's Jared Lorenzen put up impressive numbers with 422 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Chargers' offensive onslaught. Receiver Brenen Thompson shined for the Broncos as well, amassing 233 receiving yards, but the Chargers' balanced attack proved too much to handle. Defensively, the Chargers made critical plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Cooper DeJean was a standout, recording three interceptions and four total tackles, which helped stifle the Broncos' attempts to rally. Derrick Moore added pressure with a sack, but it was DeJean’s game-changing interceptions that marked the turning point, allowing the Chargers to maintain their lead and secure the victory.
