In a nail-biter that came down to the final moments, the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the San Francisco 49ers 21-20 in Week 7 of the 2028 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, the stakes were high, and the tension was palpable throughout the game. Leading the charge for New England was quarterback LaNorris Sellers, who threw for 250 yards and connected with his receivers to put his team in scoring position. Running back Damon Riddick contributed significantly with 71 rushing yards, providing a balanced offensive attack. For the 49ers, Jayden Daniels managed to find the end zone once through the air, while Drake London showcased his talent with an impressive 116 receiving yards. The game turned on a few key defensive plays, even though neither team registered significant sacks, with Zach Sieler of the Patriots recording half a sack. San Francisco's Devin Lloyd was a standout on defense with 12 total tackles, but ultimately, it was the Patriots' ability to make crucial stops that sealed the victory. The 49ers' late push fell just short, allowing New England to hold on for the win.
