The Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured a hard-fought 17-7 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 of the 2028 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams looking to gain momentum, this matchup proved crucial for their respective aspirations as the season unfolds. Atlanta's Jaxson Dart stood out as the top performer, throwing for 131 yards and connecting on a touchdown pass. However, the Falcons struggled to establish a strong ground game, with Jahmyr Gibbs leading the rushing effort with just 29 yards. Shohei Ohtani provided a spark in the receiving corps, racking up 65 yards, but it wasn't enough to propel Atlanta to victory. Defensively, Eric Stokes of the Buccaneers made a significant impact with a key interception that halted a promising Atlanta drive. Despite some strong individual efforts from the Falcons, including a sack from Nick Castro and three tackles by Kyler Gordon, Tampa Bay's defense effectively contained their opponents. The turning point came midway through the fourth quarter when Stokes' interception shifted the momentum firmly in favor of the Buccaneers, sealing the win.
