In a high-scoring showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Minnesota Vikings 63-40 in Week 6 of the 2028 season. Both teams entered the game looking to establish momentum, but it was Jacksonville that ultimately claimed victory in a decisive manner, showcasing their offensive firepower. Leading the charge was Jaguars quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who threw for an impressive six touchdown passes while also contributing 62 rushing yards. On the other side, Vikings quarterback Jack Hettsfield put up a valiant effort with 398 passing yards, but it was Colton Hayes who stood out as a top target, racking up 177 receiving yards. Despite their strong performances, Minnesota's offense struggled to keep pace with Jacksonville's relentless scoring. Defensively, the Jaguars made their mark with General Vince's standout performance, recording three interceptions that shifted the momentum in their favor. The turning point came in the third quarter when Vince's third pick set up Mendoza for another touchdown, allowing Jacksonville to extend their lead and ultimately seal the game. While the Vikings' Donovan Ezeiruaku shone with three sacks, it wasn't enough to counter the Jaguars' explosive offense and turnover advantage.
