The Philadelphia Eagles cruised to a commanding 49-14 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 6 of the 2028 season. With this win, the Eagles solidify their place as one of the dominant forces in the league, showcasing their offensive prowess against a struggling Commanders squad. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was nothing short of spectacular, throwing for 334 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Eagles' high-octane offense. Lance Stripling emerged as his favorite target, racking up 139 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the scoreboard. Meanwhile, Malik Varis added a solid ground game with 63 rushing yards, further keeping the Commanders' defense on its heels. On the defensive side, the Eagles' Xavier McKinney was a game-changer, recording three interceptions that thwarted any momentum Washington attempted to build. Although Akheem Mesidor of the Commanders stood out with a sack and two tackles, the Eagles' defensive unit effectively shut down Washington's offensive efforts, marking a key turning point in the game as they forced turnovers and limited scoring opportunities.
