In a commanding performance, the Denver Broncos defeated the New Orleans Saints 44-0 in Week 2 of the 2028 season. This dominant victory not only solidifies the Broncos’ early-season momentum but also raises questions about the Saints' ability to compete this year. Jared Lorenzen led the charge for Denver, throwing for an impressive 320 yards and four touchdown passes, showcasing his pinpoint accuracy and deep ball ability. Brenen Thompson was his favorite target, racking up 252 receiving yards, leaving the Saints' secondary in disarray. Meanwhile, Jaxon Reinertson contributed on the ground with 21 rushing yards, adding balance to the Broncos' offensive attack. Defensively, the Broncos were relentless, stifling the Saints' attempts to move the ball. Taz Chism led the way with three tackles, while Austin Booker added two sacks, putting constant pressure on the New Orleans quarterbacks. The turning point came early in the game when Fred Warner intercepted a pass, halting any momentum the Saints hoped to build and allowing the Broncos to take control early and never look back.
