In a closely contested matchup, the Chicago Bears topped the New York Giants 21-14 in Week 2 of the 2028 season. The victory not only secures a crucial win for the Bears but also sets the tone for their campaign as they look to build momentum early in the season. Juan Hardin was the star of the night for the Bears, throwing for 202 yards and two touchdowns, effectively leading his team’s offense. Meanwhile, Tyler Shough of the Giants showcased his talents with an impressive 282 passing yards, although he was unable to connect for a touchdown. Isaiah Likely was a standout receiving option for New York, racking up 154 yards but ultimately fell short in the scoring department. Defensively, the Bears made key stops throughout the game, highlighted by Nakobe Dean's four tackles, Jared Verse's impactful sack, and Mansoor Delane's interception, which proved to be a pivotal moment. The Bears’ defense stifled key drives from the Giants, especially in the second half, allowing them to hold off a late-game surge and secure the win.
