In a thrilling Week 2 matchup of the 2028 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers narrowly defeated the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 28-24. This game was crucial for both teams as they aimed to establish momentum early in the season, and the Buccaneers delivered a performance that showcased their resilience. Tampa Bay's Terrence Young was the standout performer, throwing for an impressive 295 yards, while Josh Allen of the Cowboys matched the excitement with three passing touchdowns. Despite a strong showing from Dallas receiver Rashee Rice, who racked up 100 receiving yards, it was Young's precision that ultimately led the Buccaneers to victory. On the ground, Omarion Hampton struggled with just 21 rushing yards, yet his contribution was enough to keep the defense honest. Defensively, the Buccaneers made key plays that shifted the momentum. Tremaine Edmunds led the team with four total tackles, and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah's pivotal interception proved to be a turning point in the game. With the Cowboys pressing for a late-game comeback, that turnover halted their momentum and allowed Tampa Bay to hold on for the win, sealing their place as a team to watch this season.
