The Pittsburgh Steelers secured a decisive 37-22 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16 of the 2027 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. With both teams vying for crucial positioning, the Steelers demonstrated their dominance on both sides of the ball, ultimately proving too much for the Cardinals to handle. Pheaktra Beng was the standout performer for Pittsburgh, rushing for an impressive 154 yards, continually finding gaps in the Arizona defense. Meanwhile, Haynes King of the Cardinals put up good numbers in the air, throwing for 191 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Steelers' offensive firepower. Garrett Wilson also shone for Arizona, securing 87 receiving yards in a losing effort. Defensively, the Steelers made critical plays that shifted momentum in their favor. D.J. Wonnum recorded a sack that disrupted a key drive, while DeShon Elliott’s interception halted a Cardinals rally, serving as a turning point in the game. With Julian Love leading Arizona's defense with five total tackles, it was clear that the Steelers' ability to capitalize on defensive opportunities was a significant factor in their victory.
