The Cincinnati Bengals kicked off the 2028 season in style, defeating the Houston Texans with a commanding score of 44-25. This impressive victory showcased the Bengals' offensive firepower, as they set the tone early in the game, aiming to establish dominance in the AFC. Leading the charge for Cincinnati was quarterback Jordan Love, who threw for a staggering 366 yards and five touchdowns. His precision passing was complemented by Demarcus Robinson Jr.'s solid ground game, racking up 82 rushing yards, while Emeka Egbuka delivered a standout performance with 146 receiving yards, proving to be a reliable target throughout the contest. On the defensive side, the Texans struggled to contain the Bengals' potent offense. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Cincinnati scored three unanswered touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach. Houston's A.J. Haulcy made a notable defensive impact with five total tackles, but it wasn't enough to shift the momentum back in their favor.
