The Carolina Panthers topped the Houston Texans 28-14 in a decisive Week 16 matchup, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season nears its conclusion. With both teams vying for crucial momentum, the Panthers emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Leading the charge for Carolina was quarterback Cam Ward, who threw for 173 yards and one touchdown, while Ja'Marr Chase was the standout receiver, racking up 108 yards through the air. Although the Texans’ J.D. Callaway put in a strong effort with 92 rushing yards, it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Panthers' scoring. Defensively, the Panthers made a significant impact, with LaMichael Gaffney leading the team in tackles and Oluwafemi Oladejo contributing a key sack. However, it was Jake Golday's two interceptions that proved to be the turning point, halting Houston's momentum and allowing Carolina to maintain control throughout the game. The Panthers' ability to capitalize on turnovers ultimately paved the way for their victory.
