In a dominant display to kick off the 2028 season, the Washington Commanders topped the Dallas Cowboys with a resounding final score of 66-33. With both teams looking to set the tone for the year, Washington's high-octane offense proved too much for Dallas to handle. Leading the charge for the Commanders was quarterback Kamario Taylor, who threw for an impressive 373 yards and five touchdowns. His connection with receiver Kenyon Sadiq, who racked up 140 receiving yards, was a key factor in Washington's offensive onslaught. Shavane Anderson Jr. also made his mark on the ground with 102 rushing yards, contributing to the team's overwhelming scoreline. Defensively, the Commanders set the tone with a crucial performance from LeBob James, who intercepted two passes, helping to halt Dallas' momentum at pivotal moments. The turning point of the game came when Washington capitalized on a turnover, turning it into a quick touchdown that shifted the game's dynamics. Despite a strong effort from Dallas' Mitch Hicks, who recorded three sacks, the Commanders' defense remained relentless, ensuring a strong start to their season.
