In a tightly contested matchup, the New Orleans Saints narrowly defeated the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 25-22. The stakes were high in this Week 4 showdown, as both teams sought to solidify their positions in the competitive NFC South. The Saints' victory keeps their playoff hopes alive as they continue to build momentum in the 2026 season. Offensively, Tyler Shough led the Saints with a composed performance, racking up 174 passing yards. Meanwhile, Bijan Robinson showcased his explosiveness on the ground for the Falcons, rushing for an impressive 175 yards, but it was Michael Penix Jr.'s single touchdown pass that kept Atlanta in contention until the very end. Chris Olave also shined for New Orleans, accumulating 101 receiving yards and providing crucial receptions that helped maintain drives. Defensively, the Saints made key stops when it mattered most, with Isaiah Stalbird contributing a pivotal sack. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter, when New Orleans' defense held strong, forcing the Falcons to settle for a field goal instead of a touchdown. Divine Deablo's interception for Atlanta was not enough to shift momentum in their favor, as the Saints' defense ultimately stifled any chance of a game-winning drive.
