In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the New Orleans Saints narrowly defeated the Las Vegas Raiders with a final score of 25-22. Both teams were vying for a crucial win early in the 2026 season, but it was the Saints who managed to hold off the Raiders in the closing moments. Tyler Shough led the Saints' offense with two touchdown passes, showcasing his ability to find the end zone when it mattered most. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins threw for 185 yards, but it was Ashton Jeanty who was the standout performer for the Raiders, racking up 103 rushing yards and 96 receiving yards. Jeanty’s versatility kept the Saints on their toes, but it ultimately wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Raiders struggled to contain the Saints at key moments, but Jermod McCoy made his presence felt with four tackles. The pivotal turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Saints managed a crucial stop, forcing a turnover on downs that allowed them to maintain their slim lead. As the clock wound down, the Saints' defense held strong, sealing the victory and improving their record for the season.
