In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Cleveland Browns defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 49-28. Both teams entered the game looking to set the tone early, but it was the Browns who showcased their offensive prowess and defensive resilience to secure a decisive victory. Cleveland's quarterback Taylen Green was the star of the night, throwing for 304 yards and five touchdowns, leading his team to an emphatic win. His connection with the receivers was on full display, as the Browns consistently moved the ball downfield. Meanwhile, Jacksonville's Trevor Lawrence contributed significantly on the ground with 68 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Cleveland's explosive offense. Defensively, the Browns were bolstered by Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who intercepted two passes, turning the tide in critical moments of the game. The Jaguars struggled to find their rhythm, and Owusu-Koramoah's timely picks helped the Browns maintain their momentum. With Cleveland leading 28-14 at halftime, it was clear that the Jaguars would need a strong comeback, but the Browns' defense held firm, sealing the game and showcasing their potential for the season ahead.
