The Chicago Bears secured a convincing 17-0 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 17 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff positioning. With both teams looking to make a late-season push, this matchup held significant stakes for the Bears as they aimed to maintain their momentum heading into the postseason. Caleb Williams led the Bears offensively, throwing for 164 yards and a touchdown, while Colston Loveland emerged as his favorite target, racking up 79 receiving yards. D'Andre Swift contributed on the ground with 32 rushing yards, but the Bears' passing game proved to be the key element in their offensive strategy, allowing them to control the tempo of the game. Defensively, the Bears put forth a strong performance, highlighted by Troy Andersen's interception, which halted any potential scoring threat from the Lions. The turning point came early in the second half when Andersen's pick set up another Bears touchdown, extending their lead to 17-0. The Lions struggled to find their rhythm, unable to capitalize on their defensive efforts, including Jack Campbell's two sacks, leaving Chicago in firm control of the game.
