In a thrilling Week 15 matchup, the New Orleans Saints topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27-20, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the season winds down. Both teams entered the game with high stakes, but it was the Saints who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess. Leading the charge for New Orleans was quarterback Tyler Shough, who threw for an impressive 374 yards and two touchdowns. He found standout receiver Mason Tipton, who racked up 115 receiving yards, while Travis Etienne Jr. contributed with 60 rushing yards, helping to keep the Buccaneers' defense on its heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Saints were bolstered by Decamerion Richardson's timely interception, which shifted momentum in their favor. Despite a strong performance from Tampa Bay’s Zyon McCollum, who recorded eight tackles, the Buccaneers struggled to contain the Saints' dynamic offense. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Richardson's pick set up a crucial touchdown drive, sealing the victory for New Orleans.
