In a decisive Week 14 matchup, the New England Patriots topped the Minnesota Vikings with a commanding 31-7 victory, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season winds down. The Patriots showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, leaving the Vikings struggling to keep pace in the second half. Leading the charge for New England was quarterback Drake Maye, who threw for 202 yards and one touchdown, effectively managing the game and keeping pressure on the Vikings' defense. Running back De'Von Achane contributed significantly with 66 rushing yards, adding another dimension to the Patriots' offense, while T.J. Hockenson led Minnesota's receiving corps with 63 yards but couldn't find the end zone. Defensively, the Patriots were relentless, with Milton Williams recording a key sack and Carlton Davis III securing an interception that shifted momentum in the second quarter. The turning point came when Davis's pick deep in Vikings territory set up a touchdown, extending New England's lead and effectively sealing the game. The Vikings struggled to recover from that blow, as the Patriots continued to capitalize on their mistakes.
