In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the Detroit Lions narrowly defeated the Buffalo Bills by a score of 35-31, showcasing their resilience in a tightly contested game. With both teams eager to establish their dominance early in the 2026 season, this victory gives the Lions a crucial boost as they look to build momentum. Josh Allen was a standout for the Bills, throwing for 246 yards and three touchdowns, but it was Kenneth Walker who led the Lions on the ground with 86 rushing yards, providing a balanced offensive attack. Meanwhile, Danny Gray made a significant impact for Buffalo with 124 receiving yards, keeping the pressure on Detroit's defense throughout the game. The Lions' defense faced challenges but managed to make key stops when it mattered most, allowing them to hold off a late surge from Buffalo. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Detroit's defense stiffened, forcing the Bills to settle for a field goal rather than a potential game-winning touchdown. Kaleb Elarms-Orr's six tackles highlighted the Bills' defensive effort, but it was the Lions' ability to execute in clutch moments that ultimately secured the victory.
