In a decisive opening week matchup of the 2026 season, the Arizona Cardinals topped the Los Angeles Chargers with a commanding 27-10 victory. Both teams were looking to set the tone for the season, but the Cardinals came out firing on all cylinders, showcasing their offensive prowess and solidifying their early season momentum. Quarterback Joe Milton led the charge for Arizona, throwing for 251 yards and two touchdowns, while Jeremiyah Love contributed significantly on the ground with 89 rushing yards. Marvin Harrison Jr. was the standout receiver, racking up 95 yards, providing Milton with a reliable target throughout the game. This trio was instrumental in building a lead that the Chargers could never quite overcome. Defensively, the Cardinals made their presence felt, especially through Max Melton, who recorded a sack, disrupting the Chargers' offensive rhythm. The game's turning point came when the Cardinals capitalized on a crucial turnover, allowing them to extend their lead and shift the momentum firmly in their favor. Despite Daiyan Henley's ten tackles and an interception for Los Angeles, it wasn’t enough to turn the tide against a determined Arizona squad.
