In a thrilling Week 17 showdown, the New England Patriots topped the Denver Broncos with a final score of 31-21, solidifying their playoff position as the regular season draws to a close. Both teams entered with high stakes, but it was the Patriots who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess. Drake Maye led the charge for New England, throwing for 224 yards and contributing significantly to the team's scoring efforts. Bo Nix kept the Broncos competitive with two touchdown passes, but it was TreVeyon Henderson’s steady ground game, racking up 58 rushing yards, that helped maintain New England's offensive momentum. Meanwhile, Jaylen Waddle shined for Denver, amassing 101 receiving yards but ultimately fell short in the end. The defensive battle was highlighted by Carlton Davis III's crucial interception for the Patriots, which shifted the tide in their favor. Nik Bonitto was a force for Denver, notching two sacks and three total tackles, but it was the Patriots' ability to create turnovers that marked the turning point of the game. With the defense stepping up when it mattered most, New England secured the win and a vital step toward the postseason.
