In a surprising defensive showdown, the Indianapolis Colts narrowly defeated the New York Giants with a final score of 2-0 in Week 12 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams sought crucial positioning for the playoffs, but it was the Colts who emerged victorious in this tightly contested battle. Jaxson Dart led the Giants' offense, throwing for 211 yards and four touchdowns, though his team was unable to capitalize on those scoring opportunities. Jonathan Taylor was the standout for the Colts, dominating the ground game with 145 rushing yards, which helped control the tempo of the match. Meanwhile, Justin Jefferson made an impressive impact in the receiving game for the Giants, racking up 94 yards. Defensively, Laiatu Latu was a force for the Colts, not only leading the team with four total tackles but also recording two sacks that disrupted the Giants' offensive rhythm. The game's turning point came when Latu's second sack resulted in a crucial turnover on downs, allowing the Colts to maintain their slim lead and ultimately secure the win. Jevon Holland's interception for the Giants added a layer of drama, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome in this defensive standoff.
