In a hard-fought matchup, the Seattle Seahawks topped the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 14-3. The victory was crucial as both teams sought to establish themselves in the competitive landscape of the 2026 season. Seattle's defense proved to be the difference-maker in this low-scoring affair. Sam Darnold led the charge for the Seahawks, throwing for 116 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to manage the game effectively. Zach Charbonnet was the standout receiver, racking up 51 receiving yards, while the Seahawks’ ground game was more about ball control than big plays. Kenneth Walker, despite being held to just 18 rushing yards, contributed to maintaining possession. Defensively, the Seahawks were relentless, with Ernest Jones IV recording a sack and Bud Clark snagging an interception that shifted momentum in their favor. The game's turning point came in the second half when Clark's interception set up a critical touchdown drive, allowing Seattle to pull away and secure the win. With the Chiefs struggling to find their rhythm, the Seahawks' defense stifled any hopes of a comeback, sealing the outcome decisively.
