The San Francisco 49ers narrowly defeated the Atlanta Falcons 31-25 in a fiercely contested Week 7 matchup of the 2026 season. With playoff implications looming, both teams were looking to solidify their positions, but it was the 49ers who came out on top, showcasing their offensive firepower. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for 227 yards and three touchdowns, establishing himself as the game's standout performer. His connection with George Pickens was particularly effective, as Pickens racked up 81 receiving yards, contributing significantly to the 49ers' scoring efforts. Meanwhile, Bijan Robinson kept things competitive for Atlanta, rushing for 95 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Purdy's brilliance. Defensively, the 49ers made key plays that shifted the momentum, highlighted by Deommodore Lenoir's interception, which halted a promising Falcons drive. Fred Warner was a force on the field, leading with seven total tackles and helping to contain Atlanta's offensive threats. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Lenoir's pick set up a touchdown that put the 49ers ahead for good, ensuring their victory in a tightly fought battle.
