In a tightly contested matchup, the New York Jets narrowly defeated the Chicago Bears 16-13 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, this victory gives the Jets a crucial boost as they aim for playoff contention. Geno Smith led the Jets' offense, throwing for 192 yards and a touchdown, while Breece Hall showcased his ground game with an impressive 102 rushing yards. The Jets' ability to maintain a balanced attack kept the Bears' defense on their heels, allowing them to control the tempo and ultimately secure the win. Defensively, the Bears made their mark with Xavier Woods accumulating a game-high eight tackles, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Jets' defense held firm, forcing a crucial turnover on downs that sealed the victory. Both teams displayed resilience, but it was the Jets' timely plays on both sides of the ball that made the difference.
