In a commanding performance, the Washington Commanders defeated the Seattle Seahawks 24-12 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With playoff aspirations on the line, Washington showcased their strength on both sides of the ball, solidifying their position in the early race for the postseason. Quarterback Jayden Daniels starred for the Commanders, throwing for 222 yards and two touchdowns, effectively leading his team’s offense. Running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt added a strong ground game, rushing for 98 yards, while wide receiver Jeff Caldwell was a consistent target, racking up 95 receiving yards. Together, they delivered a balanced attack that kept Seattle's defense on its heels. The Commanders' defense, spearheaded by Quinyon Mitchell with four total tackles, played a vital role in securing the victory. Washington's ability to limit the Seahawks' explosive plays was crucial, and the game’s turning point came when they stifled a potential Seattle drive in the second half, forcing a turnover on downs. Meanwhile, Leonard Williams of the Seahawks did what he could to disrupt Washington's rhythm with two sacks, but it wasn't enough to shift the momentum back in Seattle's favor.
