In a dominant display, the Detroit Lions topped the Buffalo Bills 40-22 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The Lions, looking to establish themselves early in the season, delivered a powerful performance that showcased their offensive firepower. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit, throwing for 311 yards and connecting on multiple key passes. Amon-Ra St. Brown was the standout receiver, racking up 135 yards and providing crucial plays to sustain drives. While the Bills' Josh Allen threw three touchdown passes, it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Lions' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Lions managed to apply consistent pressure, with Aidan Hutchinson notching half a sack, but it was the overall defensive strategy that limited the Bills. The turning point came late in the second quarter when a crucial interception shifted momentum firmly in favor of the Lions, allowing them to take control of the game and maintain their lead through the second half.
