In a commanding performance, the Green Bay Packers topped the Detroit Lions 49-24 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. This victory not only enhances the Packers' positioning in the standings but also solidifies their momentum as they head into the latter half of the season. Jalen Hurts was the standout for Green Bay, throwing for an impressive 422 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his elite playmaking abilities. Meanwhile, Zachariah Branch emerged as his primary target, racking up 302 receiving yards, proving to be a nightmare for the Lions' secondary. Despite the loss, Detroit's Bijan Robinson shined on the ground with 135 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Packers' explosive offense. Defensively, the Packers made critical plays that shifted the game's momentum. Kyle Dugger led the charge with seven total tackles, while Chop Robinson and Xavier Watts combined for three sacks and two interceptions, respectively. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Packers' defense forced a turnover that led to a quick touchdown, allowing Green Bay to seize control and never look back.
