In a high-scoring showdown, the Cincinnati Bengals outlasted the Houston Texans with a final score of 50-34 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The Bengals showcased their offensive firepower, while the Texans fought valiantly to keep pace, but ultimately fell short in a battle that had playoff implications looming large. Tyler Shough was the star of the day for Cincinnati, tossing five touchdown passes that propelled his team to victory. Houston's Bo Jackson put up an impressive 506 passing yards, but it was the Bengals’ balanced attack that made the difference. Jeff Caldwell also shined for the Texans, racking up 232 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Cincinnati's scoring prowess. Defensively, the Bengals made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. West Weeks intercepted two passes, providing critical turnovers that halted Houston's drives and turned the tide in Cincinnati's favor. Abdul Carter contributed with a sack, adding pressure to Jackson throughout the game, while Blake Cashman's four tackles helped keep the Texans' running game in check, solidifying the Bengals' strong defensive performance.
