In a stunning display of offensive firepower, the Minnesota Vikings crushed the Green Bay Packers 73-10 in their season opener. With the stakes high in Week 1 of the 2026 season, the Vikings made a bold statement, showcasing their dominance right out of the gate. Bo Nix was the standout star for Minnesota, throwing for an impressive 431 yards and eight touchdowns, leaving the Packers' defense scrambling for answers. Brashard Smith also had a phenomenal game, racking up 195 rushing yards and adding 151 receiving yards, proving to be a dual-threat weapon throughout the contest. The Vikings’ offensive line provided ample protection, allowing Nix to exploit the Packers' secondary effectively. Defensively, the Vikings were equally impressive, with Terrion Arnold making a game-changing impact by snagging two interceptions. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Arnold's first pick set up another quick touchdown, pushing the lead to an insurmountable margin. While the Packers' Travis Hunter led with eight tackles, it was clear that Minnesota's defense, coupled with their explosive offense, was the driving force behind this overwhelming victory.
