In an electrifying season opener, the Seattle Seahawks topped the New England Patriots 37-28, securing a crucial victory to kick off the 2026 campaign. Both teams aimed to establish early momentum, but it was Seattle that ultimately prevailed in a thrilling contest. Trevor Lawrence led the Seahawks' offense with a steady performance, throwing for 177 yards and a touchdown. However, it was De'Von Achane's explosive ground game that stole the show, as he racked up an impressive 212 rushing yards, proving too much for the Patriots' defense to handle. On the other side, Taylen Green put up a commendable 277 passing yards, connecting with Jameson Williams for 79 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Seattle's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Seahawks made key plays that shifted the game’s momentum. Cor'Dale Flott led the charge with six total tackles, while Benjamin Morrison's interception proved pivotal in stifling a Patriots drive that could have turned the tide. Ultimately, Seattle's ability to create turnovers and pressure the quarterback helped seal their victory as they outlasted New England in a back-and-forth battle.
